Ingredients:
- 4 pork chops
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp thyme, dried
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions:
Add salt and pepper to the pork chops
Warm up the olive oil in a big pan over medium-high heat
Sear the pork chops on both sides until they are brown
Take the chops out of the pan and set them aside
Put chopped onions in the same pan and cook them until they get soft
Place the garlic, thyme, and mushrooms in the pan
Cook until the mushrooms turn golden brown
Add the flour and cook for one to two minutes to get rid of the raw taste
Slowly whisk in the milk and chicken broth
Bring the mixture to a low boil and stir it all the time until the gravy gets thick
Add the mushroom gravy to the pork chops that have been seared and then put them back in the skillet
Keep cooking until the pork chops are done
Add chopped parsley as a garnish before serving
